TMI Achievement Levels

 

The Educational Program is the heart of our Toastmasters Club.  It is the means through which members develop their communication and leadership skills and achieve their goal of becoming better communicators and leaders.  Your achievements within Toastmasters are recognised by the progressive award of various TMI achievement levels via this Educational Program. 

The following is an outline of these levels and the paths by which they can be attained. 

 

 

The following table defines the requirements for attaining each of the levels shown in the figure above, with detailed information also available at the TMI education page:

Competent Toastmaster

(CTM)

Complete the Communication and Leadership Program manual

Communication Track

Advanced Toastmaster Bronze

(ATM -B)

·     Achieve CTM award

·     Complete two Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals.

Advanced Toastmaster Silver

(ATM-S)

·     Achieve ATM-B award

·     Complete two additional Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals (may not be those completed for the ATM-B award)

·     Conduct any two programs from The Better Speaker Series and/or The Successful Club Series

Advanced Toastmaster Gold

(ATM-G)

·     Achieve ATM-S award

·     Complete two additional Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals (may not be those completed for ATM-B and ATM-S awards)

·     Conduct a registered Success/Leadership Program, a registered Success/Communication Program or a registered Youth Leadership Program

·     Coach a new member with the first three speech projects

Leadership

Track

Competent Leader

(CL)

·     Achieve the CTM award

·     Serve at least six months as a Club officer and participate in the preparation of a Club Success Plan

·     While a Club officer, participate in a District-sponsored Club officer training program

·     Conduct any two programs from The Successful Club Series

Advanced Leader

(AL)

·     Achieve the CL award

·     Serve a complete term as a District officer (District Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Public Relations Officer, Secretary, Treasurer, Division Governor, or Area Governor)

·     Complete the High Performance Leadership program

·     Serve successfully as a Club Sponsor, Mentor or Specialist

Common

Distinguished Toastmaster

(DTM) 

·     Achieve the ATM-G award

·     Achieve the AL award
